Dragged Windows are trailing.

I have an SBS 2003 with 25 XP clients. A few users are reporting that their computers are slower than usual this morning.  One user in particular said her computer is exceptionally slow. I have checked the computer and don't see anything out of the ordinary.  Except, the computer is very slow and when I drag a window across the screen, it leaves trails like the old mouse trails used to do.  I have attached a picture to clarify.  Any ideas???

Thanks,
-Paul

just a symptom of numerous things that could be affecting system resources.  what does the task manager say is consuming CPU and memory at the time?

do you use agent based desktop management tools? or perhaps an asset management scan has kicked off?

Here is the performance tab.  How do I tell if SEP and Microsoft Security Essentials are running?  Do they show up as applications, processes, or services?

Thanks
