I need a tool to monitor an ESXi 4 environment
I've been looking at a few tools to monitor our ESXi 4 environment but I haven't been able to find one that fits my needs. Veeam monitor seems to do everything that I want, all sorts of performance monitoring (disk i/o, ready time, etc), nice graphing and trending and alerts. The only thing is, I'd rather not pay for it.
I've been playing around with Zenoss and their ESXTop ZenPack along with Nagios and a few community written plugins but both seem pretty sparse with the data that they can provide. They only seem to give stats for CPU and memory, I'd like more than that . I know that neither of the open source solutions are really turn-key and I don't mind setting aside some time to configure them, but I'm also not a programmer so I can't write my own plugins.
Is there anything else out there that I should be taking a look at?
