Hard drive on tower is no good but also has recovery on it.
I am working on an HP with a seagate hard drive. The drive is coming back with unreadable sectors and Seatools cannot fix them. The issue is the Recovery partition is on this drive. I have another brand new drive but need to get the recovery onto that new drive. How can I do this?
is the issue progressive?... Meaning does the drive work fine for a while then eventually craps out?

Yes. The drive in the past few days has begun to be non-responsive after a couple minutes. It will run unbelievably slow, sometimes it will not boot up. I ran the Seagate HD diagnostics and it gave me a list of about 30 sectors that had issue. When Iran the Seatools, it said repair failure.

Well I was able to take the drive out and put in an external enclosure and save the data. I also made a copy of the recovery drive. Ok, thanks for the help any way
