Why do you say &quot;Ubuntu seems kinda old&quot;? &nbsp; Actually, they are ahead of the curve in keeping their systems up-to-date and leading the way in certain respects.<br />

If your interest is in desktop usage, I would actually recommend Ubuntu because of it's ease of installation and usage. &nbsp;If you interest is in more of a backoffice nuts-and-bolts get-the-job-done-with-stab<wbr />ility server (database, website, email provider, etc) I would recommend CentOS.

Ubuntu is definitely not &quot;kinda old&quot; or old in any sense. &nbsp;It is a highly maintained and developed Linux distribution.<br />
