VMWare cluster?

Just wondering how to create a VMWare cluster. I have Virtual Servers setup running 2008 R2 with failover clustering installed and extra drives attached however, I need to know how two machines can share a single drive for the Quorum and Cluster information.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Kevin,

Yes I have two 2008 R2 "Guests" in VMWare Workstation 6.5. Yes I want to create a Failover Cluster using the guests. The Cluster Validation Wizard fails because it doesn't have a shared disk for the Quorum drive and all that.

I have ESX hosts and VCenter as well but that would take a lot more work and I was having issues networking the two ESX hosts so thats a no go.

Any ideas?

A lot of people are also using OpenFiler. What you need to do is use OpenFiler or FreeNAS to create an iSCSI LUN that the guests can see via iSCSI so they can use it for the cluster quorum volume. You will need additional volumes as needed for the services being clustered.
