Offline Files Synchronization Over User VPN
Right now I have a small domain network that uses roaming profiles. Server 2008 with XP Pro clients. Becuase I use roaming profiles, if I log onto one computer, my files synchronize back to the server and are available when I log onto the next computer.
I want to take one comuter to use as a home workstation. The challenge is now that since the computer will not be able to reach the domain when I log on at home, the files will not synchronize. I know I will be able to log on because my credentials are cached but how can I get around this file synchronzation thing?
I have a cisco SSL VPN but to my knowledge this will only work after the user logs in. Is there a way to have the files sync after the vpn is connected or is there a different approach I should be using?
