Exchange error need some help please.

Below is an error I am getting from my clients when they try to send email to certain company's.  It seems to be very random and only happens maybe once a week. I have checked the email in question and it seems fine to me.

if you have IMF turned on on your server then turn off the connection filtering for test...

if that works then its one of the list providers that you have in your filter causing it.

When i had this problem it was caused by a beta DB

Hi,

I suspect the mail domain of your client is blacklisted or considered as supcisous.

Go to the website: http://www.mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx check wheter the daomin is blacklisted.

Hope this helps,

I'm using sbs 2008 and I have the EMC open but I don't see what your describing.
Here's an example of the same error (and I mean exactly the same) that was being caused by incorrect reverse DNS:

http://serverfault.com/questions/195863/exchange-2007-delivery-delayed-maybe-need-certificate

That may be worth looking into.
SBS 2008 has Exchange 2007, so IMF is built-in. With that said, IMF filters incoming mail, not outbound. This is definitely a case where the remote connection is rejecting mail due to a failed spam-check.

Blacklisting is the most likely culprit (yes, I know you say you checked), and the fact that you aren't seeing widespread rejections means that you are "clean" on most of the legitimate RBL operators, but there is a smaller RBL operator (or a few) that have blacklisted you. Contact the company with the recipient, speak with the IT staff member responsible for their mail services, and find out *specifically* which spam services they use.

From there you will know which companies to contact to get yourself de-listed.

Hi,

Get in touch with the ISP to check your Reverse DNS pointing.

Also perform a SMTP test http://www.mxtoolbox.com/

Hope this helps,
