I have a program that dumps data into a excel sheet in rows 5 and beyond. I am trying set up conditional formating on column 1 using the following formula =A5=A4 basically if the data in a cell is the same as the previous cell then i change the font to be clear so nothing is visable in that cell. I highlight around 300 rows, which is atleast double the number of rows that will ever be dumped to the shee, and then enter the conditional format formula. This copies the formula to all the cells. I have even checked cell A121 and it has the proper formula (=A121=A120), but when i run my program and it dumps the data cell A121 now has the formula =A121=A5. Has anyone seen this behaviour before. I don't think its my program that is dumping the data since it doesn't have any formating code in it.
