HOW DO I SAVE AN EXCEL FILE IN PRN FORMAT IN EXCEL 2007?

I have very recently replaced my work desktop and upgraded the Office sofware to 07.  I have a program that requires as input an excel spreadsheet saved as a *.prn file.  I do not understand how to save in this format with Excel 2007.  Is there a successor format to *.prn that will serve this purpose? or what am i missing?

Thank you for your assistance

File | Save-As?

Then pick PRN as the Save-As type.
Sorry - instead of File it would be the big office button in the left hand corner.

I am sorry i didn't clarify that point.  The save as does not give me the option of *.prn in 07.

Could you explain what to do under that circumstance?
Ahh - I see...I was checking out 2010 on my machine. Let me look into this a little more for you.
Thank you!

You solved my problem.  In the save as view I have currently the file extension is not showing and I had never noticed that the *.prn format was "Formatted Text (space delimited)".

Tnhank you for your assistance!!!!!!
Great!   No problem!
Follow next steps: http://www.tharo.com/kb/entry/382/

If for some reason you cannot, then I think you have a problem with MS Office because look here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/file-formats-that-are-supported-in-excel-HP010014103.aspx

prn is among the normal format used for saving.
Save the file directly from Office 2007 to *.prn:
Select the Office 2007 menu > Mouse over Save As.. and choose "other formats" from the contextual menu that opens up > in the save window that opens up, there is a Type menu at the bottom of that window. > Choose "Formatted Text (Space Delimited) (*.prn)"
