Looking for free mySQL trace utility

Hi Team,

I am using what looks like a good open source program called xataface (www.xataface.com) that greatly simplifies the front end design of web based RDBMS applications.  My question is that when the application doesn´t appear to work as intended (e.g. I get a blank page) I have no idea what went wrong.  I am therefore looking for a free mySQL trace utility that can show the sql statements being sent back and forth from the PHP application to the mysql server.

I saw this link on this forum:

but the author is right, the links are either dead, windows only or not free.  Can someone suggest a more recent product?

My setup is running mysql  Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.77 on Centos 5.5.

Thanks team.
