I use an msi package to  deploy a .Net application (using Visual Studio 2008). Now I need to add a step to the installation process: After all files are deployed, I need to execute a batch file. Then the reverse needs to happen during the uninstall: I need to execute a different batch file before files are deleted.

The name  "Custom Actions" make it seem like that's where I need to be, but I don't get it. Can you provide explicit instructions on how to have the msi invoke batch files during the install/uninstall processes?
