In Place Upgrade of IAS to NPS

Is it possible to do an in place upgrade of an IAS server running on a 2003 Enterprise R2 server to an NPS running on 2008 R2.

I currently have an IAS running on a 2003 Enterprise server. I'd like to do an in place upgrade of this server to 2008 R2 and maintain my existing RADIUS settings.  Is this possible?

Does your Windows 2003 R2 server is in x64 edition or x86? If it is x86 then it is impossible

If it is 64bit you can do in-place upgrade of OS

and here you'll find a toll to migrate IAS to NPS

Yes, it's 32 bit. I guess the easy route isn't an option now. It never is. I still need to migrate it from 03 to 08.  Are there any issues going from 32 to 64 bit or "let me guess" that can't be done either.

What article ? The link you submitted in your earlier post ?
Yes, that's right. But you need to first deploy Windows 2008 server to be able using IAS export from 2003
