Hi Experts,
I have a 5510 ASA configured with internal interface 0/1 and external interface 0/0

We are moving to a new internet provider and therefore will need to reconfigure to new IP etc.

a colleague has asked me can we configure another interface for the new line and have that interface up and working with the existing line. Then cut over that way.
The only specific thing we have is 2 VPN tunnels. And we allow https access for our Citrix VPN.

My guess is the internet will not work as there is only 1 gateway configured being the existing ISP.
Is this correct can any one elaborate on this

What is best practice to switch over. Could we configure the new interface with the new settings then move over the vpn's etc to new interface. Then shutdown old interface.

Or just backup config make changes on the existing setup then resave.

Thanks
