I have a multi-server SharePoint 2010 farm in the same domain. I have an Excel 2010 xlsx file uploaded to a document library. When I try to open it via my browser, I get an error:<br />

Unable to process the request.<br />
Wait a few minutes and try performing this operation again.<br />

I only get this on xlsx files. XLS files open properly. &nbsp;I've seen postings that I need to have Excel services installed. If so, on which servers, on my web front ends or my application servers? I already have Excel Calculation Services installed on one of my app servers. Do I need something else?<br />

I've also seen a posting that I need to edit an XML file (<a href="http://blog.armgasys.com/?p=133" rel="ugc">http://blog.armgasys.com/?p=133</a>). If so, on which servers, my web front ends or application servers?<br />
