Two users, one mailbox - How to archive?
Hi guys,
I have a unique situation. A law firm with two attorneys sharing one hosted Exchange mailbox. They like it this way to be in control of all emails, this is how they have been for years. They also like to CC each other while sending email, this way tripling and quadrupling the size of the mailbox and running out of space often.
The problem comes when they want to archive to Personal Folders. If one archives to a Personal Folder attached to that Outlook, another cannot access it. I cannot attach one Personal Folder PST file to both outlooks.
So the solutions I see:
Increase the mailbox size, although lawyers are stingy and would not prefer that.
Create a 2nd mailbox for another attorney.
What else?
Thoughts?

Create the second mailbox and set up delegate permissions so they can open each other's mailboxes.

I agree separate mailboxes are always better. With your idea they will stilll have two separate personal folders. So if one drags something over to the personal folders it will dissapear from the mailbox and another user wouldn't be able to access it..

So I am curious... with Barracuda Mail Appliance, does it archive in the same PST format? Would it allow the same archive PST personal folder to attach to more than one outlook?
Um. Why can't you attach two Outlook accounts to the same .pst file? Just put the actual file somewhere both users can access.
