I can find no problem to speak of in the system... this does not seem to impact any user or other service running...
If i attempt to start the service Manually, I alway get a 1067 process terminated unexpectedly. I can of course stop the watchdog which will stop the errors...
Any ideas?

Sorry for the delay, I just finally had time to re address this.
I did not recognize WPS as a windows service but didn't even look to see if it was third party software. turns out it is and is no longer needed so removing of course it solved the problem.
Thanks
