I was happy to get a laptop with a number pad because I thought I would be able to use the ALT key and some numbers to type Spanish characters (like ALT165 for ñ ).<br />

But is seems that hitting ALT 6 takes me back to a previous web page. Any ideas what causes that or what I can do to change it? Thanks. It's a Dell Inspiron, windows 7, using Firefox 3.6
