Use of parameters in view !!!!!!!!!!!!

Last Modified: 2012-05-10

I have a situation where I need to use parameters in a view in sql server 2005. and then I need to use the output in a join to other tables in a query.

As, views can not be used with parameters, I am thinking to use inline table valued functions to get it done. But, my concern is would it be the optimal way to do the work? Would it cause performance degradation?

Please advise how to tackle this situation.
