VMWare Workstation CPU very High
The VMware workstation I have set up is regularly at 90 - 100% CPU when very little processing is going on. For example I may just have one excel sheet open.
Basically any action sends the CPU off the charts.
I have the following configuration.
VMware workstation is installed on a
Windows Server 2003 SP2,
Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 2.8GHz
4.00 GB RAM
This server hovers around 30% CPU Usage pretty consistently.
The VMWare workstation virtual machine has 2GB RAM assigned to it.
Any ideas on how to resolve this? The workstation performance is pretty mediocre.
Thanks in advance.

That solved the problem. There was a partial installation that VMWorkstation did automatically.
I reinstalled with all options selected, and the virtual machine's CPU is staying down at 5 - 10 % now.
