WRVS4400 Wireless Speed

I recently got myself a WRVS4400N Wireless-N Gigabit Security Router with VPN. The only thing connected to it is my modem and a NAS (to the GB ethernet port). I use WPA2-Personal for encryption and i run the wireless in G/N mixed mode, channel bandwith is 20/40MHz, and wireless channel is set to auto . My wireless properties in the connection settings on my laptop (windows 7 Pro) show a 150 Mbps connection. However when i transfer files from my laptop to the NAS i only get a max data transfer speed of 5MB/s? First of all shouldnt i get up to 300Mbps connection and second shouldnt the transfer be faster even with the 150Mbps connection? Any idea how to increase the speed?

The wireless ’N’ standard calls for speeds of 300Mbps.  To get 300 Mbps you need to setup and configure channel bonding. What this means is your routers and network adapters must be linked and running in a channel bonding mode. This speed is only theoretical.
