Try to find a command-line utility to partition a bootable USB in windows XP

Want to find a utility to partition a UDB and make it bootable.
I heard fdisk with this functions. Where to find a decent tool to do that.

Thanks a lot for the info. However, Dale's tip seems related to Linux, and noxcho's solution is related to Vista. Is there something for Windows XP prof. to make a bootable sector as MBS in a USB?

noxcho:, sorry previously I did not read the link carefully. I'm testing what the link says. Thanks.
JL66,

I thought you wanted to create a bootable USB drive while running Windows XP.  There are many ways to actually create a bootable USB drive that actually boots into Windows XP.

Just google

"how to create a bootable XP thumb drive"

without the quotes.

HTH,

do you want to create xp bootable usb key?

Thanks a lot for more links. I really want to boot from a USB with my own programs (not for installing window XP from bootable USB), so firstly, I make the USB bootable and copy it in my own programs. The platform is windows XP.

noxcho: where can I find the program: diskpart.exe (v6+) and bootsect.exe? Do I have to buy a vista/window 7 for them?
It seems that if I can get the two programs and I can make the USB bootable with my own program.
