1. You can make a backup via backup icon on cpanel, or you can make backup via file manager and database icons
note: If you manage to do that you would still have to manually change joomla configuration file to set it up to work locally with new parametars

what you probably want is this:
2. go to http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-a-security/site-security/backup/1606 and install this extension on all your joomla sites. It allow you do do site backup via site

note: after downloading backup just unzip it to your localhost and follow the instructions on the page and can easy-run the site's on your computer

Best Regards

Hi,

I recommend you to login to your cpanel and backup the entire site. It will backup all your files, databases, mail etc etc. You can restore the web anytime using this full backup file. Also once the backup is completed you may download it as a zip file and save in your local machine. Please refer the following url for detailed steps.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Here is another way to do it and this will allow you to understand how web server and database server work. IT is important for you to understand it if you want to make modification later.

Use a free FTP program like Filezilla to download the scripts http://filezilla-project.org/

From the Cpanel use PHPMyAdmin to backup all database select export (select all tables, select with full data, then download the backup to your PC. Do it for all database.

To install it localy you will need to install a webserver like Wampserver http://www.wampserver.com/
then create a folder for each site in the www, copy each corresponding files in each folder and create a database for each site using the database backup.

to make it work on your PC will will need to edit for each site the config file with appropriate url and database name and database login information.
