Two different new windows 7 toshiba laptops are connected to the same att DSL 2wire homeportal router, one wirelessly, the other both wired and wirelessly. Both computers have the same problem. They can go to some webpages but not others. It doesn't matter if I use IE8 or firefox.

I re-set the router and re-input the PPPoe username & pw. But we're back to the same situation. I reset internet explorer, but no difference.

Pinging is very inconsistent.  At one point I could ping www.google.com, but not mail.google.com. Then 30 mins later, the reverse was true!  When I arrived she could ping att.my.yahoo.com, but now she cant.  When she CAN go to www.google.com, she can do a search and get the results page

See the attached text files to show ping tests, and dsl connection info.

Note that in the first ping file (ping 1.txt), I pinged www.yahoo.com over and over, and sometimes it went thru, and others not. The ones that went through went thru:
"any-fp.wa1.b.yahoo.com" [72.30.2.43]
the ones that didn't went thru:
"any-fp.wa1.b.yahoo.com" [98.137.149.56]
So the different IP may be the problem.

here's what her internet speed tests said:
