I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Any new Mac should be fine....

The only requirement seems to be Intel Processor and Snow Leopard (10.6).

is there like a model? i've heard 13 inches screen (screen doesnt matter) but how about RAM, etc?
jlindlerCommented:
The 13 Macbook Pro is a great laptop.   I have several.   Even the regular Macbook (white plastic) are fine machines for some editing work (light work in Photoshop for example).   Of course, the iMac's are great all around machines as well.  I have a 21 inch on my desk at work, and it is super!

As with any computer, I always go for as much RAM as I can afford!

The 13 inch with the 2.4 is what I have, and it has plenty of horsepower.

ANYTHING with at least a Core 2 Duo processor would be good. You can pick something up for $500 on craigslist. Apple briefly used a Core Duo processor and that might be a purchase to avoid even though it would work.

I looked at that link. The 13 inch with 2.4 has Snow Leapord, right? (that's the OS??)
jlindlerCommented:
Yes!   10.6 Snow Leopard is the standard for all new Mac's.
