Website layout problem with IE

I am developing my site in CSS. I have tested everything with Chrome and works fine, but when I am testing the site in IE6 and IE7, the layout is completely going out of order, with difference in margins etc

is there any way the site working in Chrome can be validated for IE?

you'll have to make suitable changes to css so that it work fine in ie too. i'm afraid there is not tool for doing that. you'll have to do that manually.

ie7-js library help a lot when fixing CSS selector issues, check here http://code.google.com/p/ie7-js/

Also, if you can post a link to you site we might be give some pointer on where/what should be fixed.

IE is infamous for having these types of issues. If you give us a link to the site and point out what you would like it to do we can give you the correct codes to fix everything. As Sudaraka pointed out there are a lot of IE CSS fixes you can include in your CSS file.

Also you should make sure your code is valid using a code validator, it is the best way to ensure your site will have the best cross browser compatibility (IE still has some troubles with valid code)

CSS Validator: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/
HTML/XHTML Validator: http://validator.w3.org/

Best of luck!
