NSString @interface MyCalculatorViewController : UIViewController

I am getting the following error in line:

NSString *Teste=@"teste"; //Error is here

error: expected ':', ',', ';', '}' or '__attribute__' before '=' token

How can I solved it?

#import <UIKit/UIKit.h>
#import "MyCalculatorBrain.h"

@interface MyCalculatorViewController : UIViewController {
	IBOutlet UILabel *MyDisplay;
	MyCalculatorBrain *MyBrain;
	NSString *Teste=@"teste"; //Error is here

The .h file is not for declaring values, simply objects!

To declare your NSString, you can declare it in the .h like so: NSString *teste;

Now, open up your .m or implementation file and add:

-(void)viewDidLoad {

teste = @"teste";

Open in new window

This will set the pointer to the integer teste, to equal the value of "teste" when the view loads.

Happy coding!
