HTML format email with php mail function

Dear:

I was trying to send html email from PHP mail function.

 unfortunately, some email 's html tag was not display properly in email client (outlook, gmail, yahoo and etc). I did include doctype, content type, and i did checked all html tag was tag properly.

Can clue what happening?

thank for your info,

in fact, i read the article before post this and try to follow. Unfortunately still not able to confirm the output.

My html is very simple with some font css. I did align with table layout (only with table tag, span, CSS font styling). But sometime, it direct display the html tag in stead of layout.

For the link, i assign with A tag, with some encrypted data [a-zA-Z0-9], but sometime the data will missing and replace with SPACE or some symbol [!].

Im still old fashioned. I do not use css for html emails. I just use tables and old html tags such as the <font> tag. CSS is for ease of use and for meeting standards. No one cares if the layout of an email meets standards so css is no real advantage.
