Hide Tools from the Menu Bar in Internet Explorer using AD GPO

The Menu bar in Internet Explorer V8 has File, Edit, View Favorites, Tools, Help.
I'd like to just block the Tools dropdown using a GPO in Active Directory.  Is this possible?  I don't see any existing GPO that does this.  Also, Is it possible to block just the File drop down in the Menu bar?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It's possible:

User Configuration
Administrative Templates
Windows Components
Internet Explorer
Configure Toolbar Buttons

I looked in here. There is a comment at the bottom of the Properties window stating that this selection is supported only in IE5 and IE6.
I have the tools button unchecked, and the overall settings enabled.  It seems to have no effect on IE version 8.

They are available for IE8 as well:

Are you running Server 2008 or Server 2003?

If you are running only Server 2003, you can still get the policies in place by reading this link:

While designing GPO for Kiosk system, i did all the setting & it worked fine for IE8 also.

You can't block tools menu fully but you can disable option like like internet options, toolbar etc.

User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\ Browser menus\

User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\ Toolbars

Disable customizing browser toolbars buttons

Great information.  Use a server 2008 or Windows 7 box on the domain to create the more up-to-date GPO that can control IE8.  Or get part of the way there by using the Server 2003 GPO with limited toolbar modifications.
