Citrix: Citrix ACCESS client for citrix presentation server 4.5

1) When i was in one of the company which used Citrix
-There was a Citrix Server ( I believe it is a Citrix Presentation Server 4.5)
- At that time, i can install CITRIX Client to any desktop and laptop (with the OS of Windows XP or windows Vista)
-When i complete the installation of the Citrix Client's software, there will be a "program Neighborhood" in the desktop
- I double-click this "program neighborhood" icon and follows the wizard .
- If a client from the Branch Office who comes to our office (main office); we just installed the "citrix client" at his/her laptop (This laptop should NOT be NECESSARY in a domain; it can just be in a Workgroup); and we just use or select  the "LAN" connection; he/she will be able to access anything of the enterprise network in the main office
- And if he/she will be in "branch office" or somewhere else (than main office), we just create the "WAN" connection to the citrix client (by supplying the public IP), and he/she will be able to access our enterprise network.
- So, there is a Citrix Client Software that needs to be installed at the clients' computers (either desktops or laptops)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2) Now, it is my research or lab

3) With the help of EE's experts, I installed successfully  the Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 in a member server (Win 2003 server; the name is "Citrixsrv"); including getting the evaluation license for this license server.
4) The Installation Summary:
COMPONENT                             RESULT
-Citrix Licensing                        Successful
-Access Mgmt Console              Successful
-Web Interface                         Not  Installed - No IIS
-Citrix Presentation Server       Successful
-Presentation Server Console  Successful
-Document Center                    Successful

5) I want to install the Citrix Client Software at 2 workstation's client machines (The OS is Win XP).

6) And one of the Expert from EE gave me the followings to download:
- Please connect to this sites
- I download the 2 files from this site
-http://www.citrix.com/English/ss/downloads/details.asp?downloadId=2304987&productId=186&c1=sot2755
-Per the above expert, this is the citrix client software

7) I install the above files
- Yes , this is the Citrix's files
- But it seems it is not the Citrix Client Software (As i mentioned it at # 1 above)
- After the installation completed at the Client Computer (at the Windows XP), I can not see any "program neighborhood"

8) Would somebody help to show me how to find the free (or evaluation) of the citrix CLIENT software as my explanation at # 1 above? or maybe it also need the LICENSING for the using the Citrix Client Software? Any help from Citrix's experts please?

9) Thank you

tjie

1) This is working:

#### The older version of Citrix client is not available on the Citrix website, so you can download it from the below site. You can download any Citrix version from 8 to 10

http://www.xenappblog.com/downloads/?category=2 ####
- Yes, version 8 to 10 will give me the Program Neighborhood
- My Citrix Server is at LAN 1 (192.168.100.1/24)
- The first client machine(Windows XP) at LAN 2 (192.168.8.1/22) (I installed the client software version 10) (The Result: From this client, i can get "the desktop of the server"; i can login to Exchange Server through Outlook Web Access)
-The 2nd client machine (Windows XP) at LAN 1) (The Result: It is also working well)

2) Then, i deleted "this older version of the Citrix Client" from the above two client machine
3) I go to the Citrix Server
- i go to the Add/Rem program
- I go to the Windows Component
- Then, i install the IIS
4) Then, I install the "CitrixOnlinePluginFull" at the Client machine(The newer Citrix client software)
-I navigate to Start>All Programs>Citrix>Online Plugin
- I Select "this Online Plugin" ......BUT i still can not connect to the Citrix Server at all
- OK, i deleted this "CitrixOnlinePluginFull", then i install the other one "CitrixOnlinePluginWeb"; the result is worse:
    * I can not see "any Citrix" at Start>All Program
5) Conclusion:
-It seems that i do not know how to use this web client
- I should be able to login to the Citrix Server from any client machine; but why i can not do it here?
- Would you show me the Steps to achieve the goal?

6) Thank you

tjie
