I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

check your firewall if it is not blocking port UDP/123 It is NTP port for time synchronization in Windows Server.

Maybe change your ntp server to the one porivided bij your isp?
net time /setsntp:ntp.provider.com

then restart time services:

net stop w32time
net start w32time

then try a resync:

w32tm / resync

Run the following commands on the server command line.
start--->run-> type "cmd", enter  and then type these commands below. This will fix your problem.

w32tm /config /manualpeerlist:time.nist.gov,0x8 /syncfromflags:MANUAL
net stop w32time
net start w32time
w32tm /resync

and make sure the Time service has been started on the server. If you run these commands and you see that time service is restarted everything should be ok on the server.

i have disabled the time sync option from my ISA server. does it effect anything
reijerCommented:
Only if you disable it in the firewall rules. then the ntp packets can't go to internet.

You must make an allow rule in isa to allo ntp packets from internal to external.
