Asset & Inventory System
Hello Experts,
My client is looking for an Asset / Inventory Control Solutions for their business. Here is the breakdown.
Client Business: They are an IT Consulting / Integration Firm. They install various types of Technologies from Standard Cabling to complex ROLL-OUTS (Computers, Routers, Switches etc..) for various customers.
Needs: They would like the ability to track by categories the following:
1- Company Assets (ie Tools, Hardware, Vehicles etc)
2- Customer Assets from receipt to installation and where it was installed (ie computer roll outs- they would tag it or use the bar code on the PC and track it from staging to installation)
The software would need to be Windows Based (currently they are using Windows 2008 Server r2 with sql server 2008. They would also like to use some sort of wireless scanner (WiFi or RF)
Of course Open Source or Affordable Cost is preferred . But they will look at all options that meet their needs. If this software could also manage their rollouts and or projects, that would be a HUGE PLUS!
