asked on

combine members and tuning member

If you have more than 2 member in one file , how to combine them?

If you member is long list records, how to tune it for fast query?

I don't know what you mean by "how to combine them", but did you try to build a Logical?
If you create a logical over the file where both members are available and you don't select a specific member,
all members are included in one logical.

If you create a Logical on the fields you use inthe query on the where or order by, SQL will try
to use this logical if it is available and have the right specs.

You also can do it with an SQL view or index (or both).
when they exist, the SQL on the physical can be a lot faster,
Maybe you dont use it, but in the backgrond SQL will.
thanks for all advise
