Contacts in Outlook Exchange Lost

Hi There

I have a user who was setting up his IPHONE and synced his contacts the wrong way and now all his outlook contacts are gone.

Any chance of recovering this?

Thanks

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Go to the Deleted Items and then Recover Deleted Items from there.  All contacts should be in one or the other location.

only source to get it back is from the deleted items ...As those contacts are the local copy

if the items are not in the deleted folder try and turn the dumpster on for all outlook folders. you can also sign on to owa and try the recovery from there.

1.Exit Outlook.
2.Open the Windows registry editor.
3.Browse to My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\Client\Options.
4.On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
5.Type the name DumpsterAlwaysOn.
Note   Do not type any spaces in the name.

6.Set the DWORD value to 1.
7.Restart Outlook.
The Tools menu now has the Recover Deleted Items command for every Outlook folder.

Arbitrarily closed down due to being caught out by the Question Lockout Wizard.

No comments from the asker for two months then magically they fix their problem just when then need to ask another question and can't!!!

Objecting to closure.
