Charge mobile using USB cable

Dear Experts,
I want to built Mobile Charger from USB cable.
The idea is - I will able to charge my mobile using my laptop.
I have seen some applications such as Fan / Emergency light are working on USB cable (need to connect in USB port of Laptop).

Nokia N70 model does NOT support battery charge through miniUSB port.
You can asemble a 2mm power jack to a usb port or buy this LINK

Hope this helps.

Dear Medianoche,

I want to asemble a 2mm power jack to a usb port,
Please suggest which node of USB port (1,2,3,4) is for power supply.
Also suggest that can I directly use the power supply or I have to put some resistor in between.

It may look odd, but buliding some useful thing from scap / spare is real fun for me.

Regards,
Nilesh.

Hi Nilesh,

Connect the RED to the node 1(+5v) and the BLACK to the node 4 (ground).
