Microsoft iScsi move to new server

I have an old windows server 2003 r2 server that has an iscsi device attached to it.  The server needs to be replaced.  How do I move the iscsi to the new server preserving shares and permissions?  Also, once that is done can I change the new servers name to the old name so there is no remapping of shortcuts?  Thanks for any help!

goto the iscsi properties and disconnect from the iscsi san.
you can then change the server to new hardware. but if you cahnge the server name you also need to change how all your users are pointing to the new server. All settings are kept on the iscsi lun when you
install the iscsi client on windows 2003 and reattach the lun.
