Upgrade Failover licence to Unrestricted?

Hi, I have a single PIX 515e left over from a failed failover set. I would like to use it unrestricted as a single standalone unit with all RAM, interfaces.
Will I have to upgrade the licence?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes, you definately need to upgrade the license. Without doing that your hardware doesnt work unless is is secondary in a failover-pair.

I just tried to find the article number for the upgrade without success. Unless someone else here can tell you the part number for the upgrade I´d advice you to call your closest Cisco dealer for a quote of the upgrade.

When you have the upgrade you register the PAK-key online and get an activation-key that you enter into the firewall to unlock the features.

Now I found! The answer is simple: The upgrade license is End of Sale. It cannot be bought anymore. See this document:

The product you would need: PIX-515-SW-FO-UR=
