How does eFAX work and how can I transfer it to a new location?

My client is moving from his office to a home office. He presently is using eFAX so that all his faxes come to him as emails. I am not familiar at all with eFAX, so a primer would be great. And how to move it would be my second request.

The phone number that efax uses is presently being provided by Cablevision. He is going to have his main number and the efax number moved over to Verizon VIOS which is who is providing his internet and phone service at his home office.

All suggestions and advice are welcomed.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
