Access 2007 - Form Design Wizard missing option to "find a record on my form based on the value I selected in my combo box"

I have a form that uses a combo box to locate a record. The combo box is no longer working correctly so I attempted to remove and recreate. However, the wizard no longer gives me the option "Find a record on my form based on the value I selected in my combo box".   This problem is only affecting one form, others are fine.

I do not want to create a new form, since this form is quite heavily modified and has mulitple subforms.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Add a combo box to your form.

Set the recordsource of the box to be the records you want to navigate to.

In the AfterUpdate event of the combo box place something like:

        With Me.RecordsetClone
            .FindFirst "[ID]=" & cmbYourName
If Not .NoMatch Then Me.Bookmark = .Bookmark
        End With

<Form Design Wizard missing option to "find a record on my form based on the value I selected in my combo box".

Then it appears that your form is "Unbound" (No RecordSource)

The "find a record on my form..." option will only appear on Bound forms.
If you "Must" use the combobox wizard to do this, then you will have to bind the form.

If the form cannot be bound, then you can "Find" a record on a unbound form by either changing the recordset to filter for this value:
"SELECT * From YourTable WHERE YourID=" & YourCombobox
Here your combobox must contain the critical field(s) as the Rowsource

Or by using  the "FindFirst" member of the recordset object.
    rst.FindFirst "YourID=" & YourCombobox
