"Show this folder as an email address book " grayed out

A user wants to add a contact list stored in Public Folders to the drop-down list in address book "show names from the:". When I right-click the contact list, go to properties,outlook address book tab, the check box to show this folder as an email Adress Book is grayed out. It works fine for me.
Outlook 2003, Exchange 2007, user=winXP pro.

What you'll need to do is add it to the account first, then the check box will not be grayed out.

Go to Tools->Email Accounts... and select 'Add a new directory or address book'. Then select Additional Address Books. Then select Outlook Address Book. I believe that's all there is to it, afterwards the user should be able to check that box for any contacts list.
