BES on SBS 2003 cannot accessadmin service or web desktop manager

Hi There,
Trying to figure out a BES problem on SBS 2003.  Apparently all was fine until I upgraded Trend Micro to the latest Worry free business security 7.0.... or maybe not.

Anyway, I went to investigate (no experience with BES) and found that neither of the configuration webpages will open, just get the IE cannot display the webpage screen.
it is trying to reach https://servername.localdomain:3443/webdesktop/login for example..

thats the first thing.

the actual complaint is that blackberry users can get to the web, but cannot load pages, they get the error communication error with server.

Many thanks for your kind assistance

ASKER

I Do have an error
source BMDS
Event ID is 0
The description For Event ID (0) in Source (BMDS) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer.

There are two messages, the second contains this on the bottom
Service could start up the JVM C:\program files\java\jre6\bin\client

These errors repeat every minute
in the System Events I am getting

service control manager
Event ID 7023
The blackberry MDS connection service terminated with the following error: The system could not find the environment option that was entered.

What happens if you uninstall Trend version 7.   FYI  BES is not really supported on SBS 2003  but you might take a look at this guide http://forums.pinstack.com/f9/garys_bes_install_guide_for_sbs_2003_a-13491/
Actually, I have fixed the blackberry operations problem I had, with the errors above, by changing the registry so that MDS pointed toward the new java install.

Still a problem is that I cannot access
either of the configuration webpages ,I just get the IE cannot display the webpage screen.
it is trying to reach https://servername.localdomain:3443/webdesktop/login for example..

Please advise.  I have tried adding the domain and website to the approved sites list for the intranet, no dice.  Is it ok to, or should I uninstall the (cant think of the exact name at the moment) "High security IE config" that causes problems every time I need to use the web on the server?.  Any solutions would be helpful.
Thanks,
Dave
uninstalling trend 7 is not much of an option...customer would not be happy...

By the way, I did not install the BES, the PREVIOUS consultants did...
I'm assuming you're saying you can't access them from the server desktop?   Have you tried from a workstation?

https://servername:3443/webdesktop/login

This is why I don't do Blackberry for my customers...only Windows Mobile or devices that do Exchange Active Sync
will give this a try this evening...
Had to temporarily shelve this, but now need to get in there.  I did try from another computer on the domain, no dice.  Gave error "can't establish a connection to the server"
Any other ideas?
