SSL Certificate to be purchased from another provider

I have a client who has a former web provider who renewed their SSL certificate by accident.  GoDaddy doesn't appear to allow for transfer of SSL Certs.  Is there any issue with just purchasing another SSL Cert for the domain from another reseller?  The Cert is going to be used on their Exchange box.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There should be no problem with purchasing SSL certs from a new provider.  I would have your old provider that re-newed the old certs "revoke" them, it will basically make the re-newed certs invalid.

purchase the new cert first, with the same name as the old one. install the new cert, activate it. then revoke the old one.
is it going on the exchange server directly or on a web server for owa or a front end email server for inbound\outbound using tls.
