"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That is a template setting, so you can create a blank document, set the checkbox and save the document as a template. To make it easier you could save in the same folder as the Normal template.

In addition to what Graham said, I would not recommend changing the Normal.dotm template to have all documents set with the different first page setting. However, if you must, then Right Click and Open the Normal.dotm file found in C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates folder and adjust it.
