Excel Audit

I need to insert the present date automatically on the excel spreadsheet whenever anyone  inserts new data into a cell on excel. Any help is appreciated.

Hello,

yes it is a macro, but you can just copy and paste it into your file. Right-click the sheet tab, select View Code and paste the code into the code window. Now whenever any cell gets changed in the sheet, A1 will be updated with the current date and B1 with the current time. You can change A1 and B1 to different cells, of course.
