asked on

clearly identify plug-ins

The screenshot here >> http://screencast.com/t/zaMHkyu1zxi shows the back-end of one of my wordpress multi-site configuration pages.  I am trying to come up with a way to put my own description or short identifier preferably below the name of the plug-in.  This is needed because as you can see, on this configuration page alone, there are 18 plugins in total.  If I were able to add a short identifier to indicate my usage of that plugin, then we would be better able to go back to a project and clearly understand the structure behind it, and without having to go back to remember the details or look them up.

All assistance is greatly appreciated.

You can go into the plugin itself to to do this:

I think you can go into plugin>editor..look for the header file:

and look for something like this:

<?php
/*
Plugin Name: Name Of The Plugin
Plugin URI: http://URI_Of_Page_Describing_Plugin_and_Updates
Description: A brief description of the Plugin. <--- EDIT HERE
Version: The Plugin's Version Number, e.g.: 1.0
Author: Name Of The Plugin Author
Author URI: http://URI_Of_The_Plugin_Author
License: A "Slug" license name e.g. GPL2
*/
?>
