Windows 7 Scheduled Task never finishes

I just upgraded my laptop to Windows 7 and cannot seem to get even a simple task scheduled in the Task Scheduled for Windows 7 64 bit.  I can create the task and run it manually and everything works except the task NEVER ends - It just shows Running in the task Scheduler.  What am I doing wrong?

I opened up task scheduler and clicked create a basic task.  I gave it a name and description.  Gave it a trigger of Daily and set the times.  Choose an Action of Display a Message with a Title of TEST and a message of TESTING.  Then clicked finished.  When I then highlight that task and click "run."  I get my message box and click OK.  The task however shows running in the status of the task scheduler.

I have modified the properties to run with the highest privileges, Change configure for to Windows 7 or back to Windows Vista.  I have made sure that allow task to be run on demand is checked.  Nothing seems to help.

ASKER

lucifer82 - I don't see why creating this via a scheduled task would help.

Kimbroy - Nothing in the Event View.

I have created the the task and am just trying to run it manually to make sure it will work.
