Hi All,

I'd like to install VMware vsphere essentials with SQL Server 2008 express edition, for the Windows Server 2008 R2, is it possible if i run the Foundation version ?

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/foundation.aspx

my goal is to get the cheapest possible solution to run ESXi managed with vSphere

Thanks.

or if this is a Lab environment for training, you can build ESX in a box for VMware Workstation

thanks for the quick reply,

what I need it s that the OS for installing VCenter 4.1 under VSphere essentials, with SQL Server 2008 Express as freeware so i can run VCenter server with the lowest price possible in terms of software.
VCenter 4.1 ships with a redistrbuted SQL Express version for small environments.
