Can no locate Source Server Migration Tool on EBS DVD
I am trying to find the source server migration tool (sourcetool.msi), and all the documentation says its in the Tools directory on the SBS DVD1, however i dont even have a tools directory and i cant fiind the sourcetool.msito run on my sbs 2003 server. I only have DVD media for EBS 2008 Premium .does anyone know where i can download it..I also need to get the answer file tool program to create my answer file for the migration? regards, Jay

What are you trying to migrate to...a newer version of SBS or trying to migrate to EBS?

Hey There i am going from sbs 2003 to EBS 2008 premium. I actuall tracked down someone who had an SBS 2008 sp 2 Cd and finally found the tools i was after!!!!
Why in the world would you migrate to EBS 2008 premium when Microsoft has discontinued this product, infact Microsoft is offering a Kit to EBS owners to migrate away from it to standard products but the offer for the migration kit ENDS Friday

That migration site wants my credit card details...should i provide them?

ok i see its only charging 30 for delivery. I have EBS premium but it can only order EBS standard migration kit..is that ok? cheers, jay

thanks for your help...lucky! i was a day away but i have put in my order. I understand your shock at why we were trying to intstall EBS but i guess you dont expect the software vendor to pull the pin on the product less than a year after purchasing it!! thanks again! Jay

Essentially what you lose with only getting standard is a 4th Windows Server license and Forefront Threat Management Gateway
Do you have a hardware firewall now?

yeah we have a hardware firewall in place, and dont need the 4th server licence, so we should be right. looking forward to the cd arriving!. On paper the EBS solution seemed to fit our business, but i think your right we should hold out and scrap EBS all together. thanks again for your time. regards, Jay
