W7 Jump list same file name

My Windows 7 jump lists all display the same file name with MS 2010 Word and Excel. But, the problem does not occur with MS 2009 Streets and Trips, it works fine. Any ideas? I do keep all my files on a Western Digital ShareSpace 2TB NAS.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There is a folder that contains a file with the items that are stored in the jumplists.    Can be found here:

%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations

If you don't care about maintaining everything in the jump list, just delete all the files in there.    Otherwise,  you can open each file in notepad and typically figure out which file is associated with each program.    Once you have identified those files delete them.

Then just open up a couple of files and see that has taken care of the problem.    Hope this helps!
