importing access iinto mssql 2008 express

I am trying to import some field from an access table into a mssql 2008 express dbase
The operation is stopped from executing with the following information

Error 0xc02020c5: Data Flow Task 1: Data conversion failed while converting column "ProdShortDesc1" (23) to column "ProdShortDesc1" (257).  The conversion returned status value 4 and status text "Text was truncated or one or more characters had no match in the target code page.".
(SQL Server Import and Export Wizard) Error 0xc020902a: Data Flow Task 1:

The "output column "ProdShortDesc1" (257)" failed because truncation occurred, and the truncation row disposition on "output column "ProdShortDesc1" (257)" specifies failure on truncation. A truncation error occurred on the specified object of the specified component.
(SQL Server Import and Export Wizard)

Looking at the properties of the column ProdShortDesc in the sql database
The datatype is text
Length is stated as 16 but I cannot see any way to change this as it is greyed out.

Can I change this, if so how please?
Thanks you
John

Thanks
I downloaded SQL Server Migration Assistant for Access but when I open cannot via MS SQL Management Studio I cannot find it, any ideas please?
I think I can see whats preventing this software from running now.
When I open fron start > all programs I go to license management
I click on the link licence registration page and it takes me to
SQL Server Migration Assistant for Access (SSMA Access) License Registration
My details are filled in and I click finish and the same page appears no sign of any license
I click finish again and file download appears for access-ssma.license
I select Find to find a program to open it and this takes me to a page stating
File Type: Unknown

Description: Windows does not recognize this file type.
You may search the following Web site for related software and information:
Search the web
This opens a mass of file openers which all seems crazy.
You would think it could be straightforward.
SSMS has nothing to do with SSMA. You should have a license key that you enter upon startup of SSMA which you open from Windows not SSMS. Its been awhile but I had no problems running or licensing SSMA. Try reading the installation instructions.

Thanks for the further information

I found the readme at
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant 2008 for Access\Readme.htm
I must be missing something
I downloaded the zip file SSMA 2008 for Access 4.2 QFE1.zip
I extracted the zip and can see the file SSMA 2008 for Access 4.2 QFE1.exe
I ran this, accept the agreement and accept Typical Set up Type
Then click install and finish
Problem I have now is that I cannot open Access 2003
When I try I get an error message saying installation file A2561408.CAB could not be found.
If I place in the Access Install disc the error just repeats.
Thanks
John
Sorry about my delay in answering. Had a touch of the Flu!

I managed to get access back by doing a repir with the install disc.

With your help I have muddled through thge problem but not sure what the answer is so I will not include this in the datafiles
Apologies for delayed response
