Exchange 2007 fail receiving outside emails

I´ve got an exchange 2007 sp1, in an environment with isa server 2006, and I have configured it to send outside emails but its impossible to receive emails from outside, i have reviewed isa server configuration and its ok, i`ve got a rule to permit incoming smtp and its configured to forward this to the exchange server, DNS is pointing to this server, and internal mail is working ok.

Could anyone tell me what else i could check?.

Thanks

Firstly - Exchange 2007 is already up to Service Pack 3 Rollup 2, so I would bring your server up-to-date by at least installing SP3.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=eb4c9729-75cb-4126-aabe-5a7c66901c79&displaylang=en

Please also check on www.canyouseeme.org to make sure port 25 is open and forwarded successfully - you should see SUCCESS if the port is working properly.

Can you telnet to your server internally from a workstation?

Yes, I know, but I´m restoring an exchange server that fail when we where upgrading to sp3 in spanish edition.

Yes port 25 is open.

And i cant connect using telnet to the exchange server
If you can't telnet to your server locally - then it won't work over the internet too.

Please run the Exchange 2007 Best Practises Analyzer from the Exchange Management Console> Tools.

I´ve been reviewing the configuration.

Isa server is forwarding smtp to the exchange server
exchange server is responding telnet on 25 port
when i try to send from gmail i receive:

"The recipient server did not accept our requests to connect"
Has mail-flow been working properly and now it is not, all of a sudden?

This was after the sp3 update fail, i couldn´t send nor receive any mail so i have installa another exchange server 2007 to migrate mailboxes and i´m trying that this second exchange works as temporary server, now internal mailflow is working, i´m able to send external mails, but i cant receive them from outside.

Yes,it´s the new one in the LAN i´ve got two exchange servers configured, the first one who fail in sp3 and a new one that i´m trying to install to migrate mailboxes and to work as temporary mailserver meanwhile i reinstall the old one.

I have run out Best Practises Analyzer from Exchange Management Console and it says

in the temporary exchange server it says:

routing master has been deleted
Mailboxrole is partially configured

And in the first exchange server (the one who crashes when we updated it to SP3)

"clientaccessrole" its partially configured
"clientaccessrole" is not configured
"mailboxrole" is not configured

I have found in this question "Errors in Exchange Best Practices Analyzer after Server Retired" that the alert "routing master has been deleted" is a bug of EBPA.

When i try to install the mailboxrole in the temporaly exchange server it says me:

error code 3221684229 access denied.

I´m using the administrator account, i have installed with no problem "mailboxserver role", hub transport role, and client access role.

I have fix error code 3221684229 access denied executing setup.exe in compatibility mode.

Althought I have created a publishing exchange isa server rule I cant`telnet exchange server from the outside of the network, when i try it it appears a full black console window.

I can telnet temporary exchange server from the isa server inside and it reply me to ehlo.

¿This shouldn´t be fixed by the exchange publishing rule?
